Isle of Wight Walking Festival
28th April - 13th May

Take part in the UK's longest running walking festival and discover new routes with experienced local walkers. The Isle of Wight is a wonderful place to walk all year round with beautiful countryside and rolling hills. Choose one of our stunning cottages for the perfect way to end a perfect day. 


Isle of Wight Challenge
5th & 6th May 2018

Join over 2000 adventurers and Walk, jog or run to help raise money for a variety of charities. Take part in the full, half or quarter challenge and enjoy the stunning coastal paths. Passing The Needles up to cowes and back to Chale. 



Isle of Wight Randonnee
6th May

A free non competative cycle ride with around 3000 cyclists taking part each year. Establishe by the wayfarers in 1985 following routes around the Isle of Wight taking minor lanes and roads where possible, ensuring you see the best of the Island. Choose from a 55kn to 100km route. You must register to take part in this event.

A free discovery and exploration event in Sandown bay, covering an area the size of a theme park. It is an event created directly from the cultural, creative and environmental content of the bay itself. Fun for all the family with many different activities taking place. Some of these include, Soap box world, Makers world, discovery world and wheely world.

Wolverton Folk and Blues Fair
12th May 2018

Set in the scenic grounds of Wolverton manor in Shorwell, this one day fair is great for friends and families to enjoy. With popular Folk and Blues bands playing over two stages and lots of crafts and food stalls to keep the kids entertained.


Walk the Wight
13th May 2018

One of the Islands biggest charity events on the Isle of Wight!! Walk the length of the island in a day, enjoy wonderfull scenery whilst helping a very good cause. Starting at Bembridge airport at 6am and ending at The Needles when ever your legs get you there. You can also opt to walk half starting at Bembridge airport or Carisbrook. You must register to take part in this event.

Real Ale Festival
5th - 7th May

Watch the trains go by with a pint of your favourite tipple. Featuring beers sourced from all over the country. There will be a range of hot and cold food available and a full train service running. This is a free event which will be open from 11am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday and 11am - 5pm bank holiday Monday

Newport Isle of Wight Jazz weekend
31st May - 3rd June 2018

The annual Newport Jazz festival is now in its 5th year and promises to be bigger and better this year. With 16 different gigs set over various venues around Newport and features every style of Jazz. A must for all Jazz fans!!  


Mondomix Festival 
1st - 3rd June

Held in the orchard at the beautiful Calbourne water mill, this is a festival for music lovers who enjoy discovering new sounds at a small, friendly and independant festival. Enjoy freshly cooked food, affordable ticket prices, free parking, an awesome streched tent over the main stage and the best music you didnt know you liked!! Children under 17 are free.


Isle of Wight Festival of Running
1st - 3rd June 2018
The Isle Of Wight running festival is perfect for all the family to enjoy. With fun runs for the youngsters and races for the couch to 5k/10k lovers. Experienced runners can take part in a half or full marathon. There is even a hald Iron-man distance event for triathletes
