E Vehichles and do your properties have EV Chargers?
Electric Cars
Some houses have EV Chargers; these are clearly stated in the description for the property and instructions will be left and the charges associated in the property you have rented.
Houses without EV chargers will have no mention of an EV charger in the description. This does not permit the guest to run plugs from the house to a car (Granny Chargers) in order to charge it; it is a fire hazard and and negates the owner’s insurance.
Following link takes you to EV chargers on the Isle of Wight : https://www.zap-map.com/locations/bembridge-charging-points/
E-scooters etc:
E-scooters and other small electric vehicles such as e-unicycles, e-skateboards and hoverboards are no longer allowed on Wightlink’s ferries or at its ports and buildings from today, Monday 2 October 2023.
The decision has been made on safety grounds because these items are not tested or regulated and there have been increasing numbers of reports of fires linked to their batteries.
E-bikes, electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters are not affected by the ban as they are legally approved for use in the UK.
E-bikes, like all bicycles, are not permitted in the lounge’s onboard ferries.
