Walk in to lovely hallway with stair case ahead, living room to the right and downstairs bedroom with bay window with views of Solent to the left. Bed side tables and lamps, chest of drawers and wardrobe. En suite bathroom, large with bath and shower over. The living room has a 2 seater sofa and armchairs and chairs, a log burner and bay window with views. Along hallway to new kitchen well fitted kitchen with all appliances, extendable table to seat 10 and door out to patio area. Conservatory off with further seating also further cloak room. Upstairs, family bathroom, walk in shower, WC and WHB. 2 x king size bedrooms. Master bedroom has bay windows and seaviews, ornamental fire place, a basin, bed side tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe. Guest bedroom, king size bedroom with bay windows and views, bed side tables, lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bunk room with chest of drawers and wardrobe and light for reading and a further twin bedroom with basin.

The house is surrounded by it’s own grounds with patio around the house and then laid to lawn with herbaceous borders. Parking for 2

Cornwall Cottage was a real pleasure to stay in from beginning to end. Whether it was lying around on the front lawn under blue skies, to watching ships pass through the Solent from the front bedroom bay window or walking 5 minutes to the Seaview local for a few sundowners looking across the water towards Blighty, Cornwall Cottage offered it all. Our only problem was leaving and having to deal with the slight green tinge of envy knowing that Emma and Steve’s place was theirs and not ours!

The situation of the house is perfect for walking to the beach and local restaurants and works well as a base for exploring the island. The local community shop is well stocked. The house is comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. We hoped to see some red squirrels and were thrilled when two arrived on the front lawn. We had a really lovely stay and would recommend a stay here and might well return ourselves!

This is our third time in SeaView and first time in this wonderful house. Was a lovely space for the nine of us, celebrating a 70th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary. Close to the local shop, pizza place (fab food) and the old fort restaurant ( our favourite). Lovely spacious rooms, great kitchen for all of us to sit in. The only thing was that a few of the door knobs came off, even though we weren’t rough with them, dad managed to fix them luckily… other than that 5 stars for location, drive for two cars, price and accommodation!!! Will definitely book again xxx

We stayed over Xmas and the house was very welcoming, felt like home from home complete with Xmas tree. Kitchen superb, well equipped and ideal space for all to enjoy the Xmas dinner. Good facilities for all ages, wifi good and Now TV a bonus. Looks a great place to stay in the summer to use the outside facilities, would recommend. Annabelle was extremely helpful and answered queries we had prior to visit.

We felt comfortable the moment we got through the door. The house was perfect for us – 2 families and grandparents. It was very well equipped and we loved that there were two sitting rooms, each with a tv. The children (aged 11, 10, 5 and 2) loved the garden – lots of games played! We also barbecued at the house a couple of times. The house is in a really good location – quiet, yet short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous week and would love to return one day.

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at the house. It’s very comfortable and so easy to relax either inside or outside, sitting on the front terrace. There are views of the sea from both the main bedrooms. The house really is well equipped. We all slept well in the very comfortable beds. Very nicely furnished, a real home from home. There are 2 sitting areas for reading or working from home. We also used the BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of extra glasses, serving bowls, pans etc. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, local restaurants and cafe, local shop. The information folder is handy and we were also sent a guide before the start of our trip. Good communication, I would really recommend both the house and the hosts. We hope to return!

Summer 2024 was our third family holiday at Cornwall Cottage. As regular Isle of Wight holidaymakers, we have stayed in many properties over the years but Cornwall Cottage is by far our favourite. There’s everything you need for cooking etc with the added bonus of a beautifully decorated house with a lovely garden to which you can retreat when the beach is a bit too hot for instance.
