Light, airy and full of character, it features stripped wooden floors, a fireplace with wood-burning stove, a stunning open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, a garden room with additional seating and dining space, plus a downstairs cloakroom and utility room.
Your king-size suite is conveniently located on the ground floor, making this an easy and relaxing retreat any time of the year.
Outside, the pretty wrap-around cottage garden and raised terrace enjoy distant views towards Bembridge Harbour and the sea beyond — ideal for morning coffee, sunset drinks or simply unwinding after a day on the coast. Four-legged guests are very welcome too, making it perfect for those long beach walks together.
A hot tub can be hired in and placed on the terrace ready for your arrival for an additional £280.
LOCATION
Edith Cottage is situated on a quiet no-through lane, two minutes’ walk from the pretty Bembridge harbour with access via a rustic causeway that cuts across the water, a popular section of the coastal path, to St Helens Beach/cafes, beautiful surrounding common land for birdwatching and other East coast beaches. Links to cycle routes and Culver Down for inland walks are close by.
A short stroll up the lane is St Helens village green which offers a cafe/deli, a pub, a restaurant, vintage book shop, a church, post office/general store and children’s play area.
There is a regular summer water taxi across the bay – or a 5 minute drive/15 min walk to the popular village of Bembridge for gift shops, cafes, bakery, butcher, fishmonger, deli/grocers, pubs and restaurants.
