We’re so excited to offer Sturdy Houseboat to our guests. Imagine a cosy winter weekend or a summer holiday afloat, with all the comforts of home—perhaps a few more! The views from the open-plan living area and upper deck are quite something. Personally, I think Sturdy has the best position on Bembridge Harbour.
Park opposite, step through the gate and make your way up the gangplank. Its angle changes with the tide and can be quite steep, so please bear this in mind when booking. Sturdy rests on supporting legs, keeping her steady—she lives up to her name!
There are four bedrooms onboard. The master has a super king-size bed and an en suite shower room. Along the hallway, you’ll find a king-size bedroom, with a bunk room and family bathroom between the two. The bunk room also has a pull-out truckle bed for an extra child. Upstairs, there’s a single bedroom with a further truckle bed, plus an adjacent WC where the washing machine is tucked away.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is the real wow room, making the most of those wonderful harbour views. The fully equipped kitchen has dining seating for eight, while the living area opens onto the front deck—a lovely spot for your morning coffee and a little harbour watching.
Outside, stairs lead to the upper deck, where you can dine alfresco, take in the views and feel on top of the world.
