No.5 Solent Landing, Bembridge

Front door, across the lawn and straight onto the beach – that’s what makes No. 5 Solent Landing such a special place to stay.

Set within the private, gated Solent Landing development in Bembridge, this light and spacious townhouse sleeps six and is arranged over five split levels, with short flights of stairs connecting the different living and sleeping areas.

There is a dedicated parking space directly in front of the house, leading into a covered carport and through to the front door. The covered area is particularly handy for leaving beach bags, paddleboards and outdoor equipment after a day by the sea.

A few steps up brings you to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has everything you need for a proper self-catering stay, with plenty of cookware, crockery and everyday essentials, and the dining area provides a relaxed space for family meals.

Open the kitchen door and you step straight into the shared courtyard, a wonderfully sheltered suntrap. No. 5 has its own table, chairs and parasol immediately outside, making it a lovely spot for breakfast in the sunshine, an alfresco lunch or a glass of wine at the end of the day.

A few more steps lead to the bright and comfortable sitting room, with plenty of seating and a Smart TV – equally inviting after a day on the beach or for a quiet afternoon at home.

The three bedrooms are arranged over the upper levels. There is a comfortable double bedroom alongside the family bathroom with a full-size bath, followed by a spacious king bedroom with good storage and lovely views towards the coast and gardens. At the top of the house is a charming twin bedroom tucked beneath the eaves, together with a large shower room with shower, WC and basin.

Outside, the extensive communal gardens are a huge part of the appeal of Solent Landing, with plenty of space for children to play and direct access down to the beach. With the Solent stretching out in front of you, it’s a wonderful place for swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking – or simply grabbing a towel and heading down for a lazy day by the water.

Bembridge Harbour and the historic Bembridge Sailing Club are just moments from the gates, while a stroll along the shoreline takes you to The Point for food and drinks by the water. Bembridge village is also within easy walking distance, with its independent shops, bakery, fishmonger, cafés and pubs.
